A man facing burglary charges after video apparently caught him stealing from his own company, police said.

Officers said they arrested Robert Blakeney, 30, after his wife picked him out of a surveillance camera video taken at their busienss, Affordable Trailers in the 5600 block of NW Loop 410.

Police said the video apparently shows the man taking a safe from inside the firm that services, repairs and sells trauilers. The safe contained sveral thousand dollars in cash and several credit cards, according to investigators.

Blakeney was detained late Wednesday after his wife and fellow employee identified him as the person that appears in the video, police said.

Friends of Joshua Davis Jr.’s family have put up a billboard on Interstate 35 to keep the toddler’s mysterious disappearance in the public eye.

The sign, near the Texas 46 intersection, shows one of the most recent photos of the boy, who was 18 months old when he who disappeared Feb. 4 from his parent’s house and mentions a $5,000 reward.

The cumulative rewards made available for the information, put up by Comal County Crime Stoppers and the FBI, total $20,000.

Police, Texas Rangers, FBI agents and even prison system dog teams scoured the city for weeks to no avail.

But with no leads and no arrests, says a family friend, the case has been out of the news for weeks.

The billboard, like the website www.joshuadavis.com, was donated to the cause.

Police on Wednesday arrested a man suspected in an early morning break-in at the Judson Independent School District maintenance facility Sunday.

Lawrence David Hoyle was being held on a parole violation, Judson spokesman James Keith said.  Two trucks, a trailer, a Bobcat skid loader and other equipment with a total value of about $150,000 were taken from the district’s maintenance yard, Keith said.

One of the trucks and the trailer were recovered, but $113,000 worth of vehicles and equipment remain missing.

Police are still searching for an alleged accomplice.

Universal City Police on Friday arrested a woman accused of participating in a robbery that resulted in a police chase in which two suspected robbers were fatally injured.

Avelina Perez, is being held in Bexar County jail on one count of aggravated robbery.  A judge ordered her remanded without bond.  Perez and her sister emily, were hospitalized when they and two others were involved in a crash while being chased by Universal Citty  police.  Emily died two days later.

Two men were held on unrelated aggravated robbery charges Thursday in liue of 100k bail set for each. Each are accused of pulling a weapon, one while robbing a fast food restaurant and the other a game store.

Charles M. Saenz, was charged in the stick up of a Game Stop in the 3800 lock of the South New Braunfels on Tuesday. Employees and witnesses told police they were forced into a ack room while two men took cash and two game consoles worth several hundred dollars each.

Police arrested Saenz on Thursday, a second suspect hasn’t been found.

Police are seeking two men after four convenience stores were robbed in two hours early Friday In each robbery a gun touting man demanded cash from a clerk.
