A teen was hit with a stun gun and arrested after allegedly punching a police officer during a brawl Monday evening, police said.

A man alerted officers patrolling Martin Luther King Park around 8 p.m. and they found more than 100 people watching a group of about 20 men fighting, according to a police report said. When the crowd wouldn’t disperse, one officer fired his stun gun towards the ground to get their attention and again told them to leave the park, the report said.

The other officer was attacked by Fred Fondon, 17, who punched him in the back and side and tried to wrestle him to the ground, the report said. The first officer then stunned Fondon in the buttocks, the report said.

Fondon was arrested on a charge of assault of a public servant, the report said.

Authorities are asking the public for help in identifying four teenagers who are accused of hanging the body of a dog unside down on a rail in West Bexar County.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 call in the very early morning of May 13 from a resident who said he saw four teen boys dragging a dog and beating it with a stick. Deputies found the dog’s body hanging upside down on na rail on the corner of Pue Roas and Sunset Place, said Lt. Martin Molina of the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.

Another caller said the dog might have been hit by a vehicle before the incident. Officials said they want to charge the boys or get them counseling.

The boys appeared to be between 15 and 16 and are believed to be students in the Southwest Independant School District, Molina said. They were described as having long hair and had been dressed all in black.

     San Antonio police were searching for two assailants after a Monday afternoon shooting critically injured a man on the city’s East Side.

     Officers called to an apartment complex in the 2900 block of Rigsby Avenue found a man in his late 30s shot multiple times, his vehicle hit by rifle fire as he apparently tried to drive away from two men, police Lt. Scott Bell said.

     Daniel Garza, 48, said he was standing less than 40 feet from where the shooting started.  He said the victim arrived in a car, briefly got out, then jumped back in and sped away when he saw two men in a car who appeared to be waiting for him.

     One of the men “got out of his car, pulled the rifle and (on foot) started chasing and shooting the guy in the car,” he said.

     The victim’s car crashed into a fence and two men were seen headed west on Rigsby in a small, blue two-door car, Bell said.

A woman was jailed early Wednesday after police said she directed two men to attack her ex husband, then drove them away.  Police said Jeanette Toledo reyes was asked her ex husband to watch their three children Tuesday evening, telling him she’d pick them up in two hours.  Hours later, she called him in an inebriated state to say she wouldn’t be picking up the kids. 

The ex husband left the children with his ex wife’s sister and around midnight Reyes showed up at his home and threatened him.  An hour later, as he and his girlfriend returned from a store, two men assaulted him with a crowbar and robbed him of $28 dollars.  Police claim reyes picked up the two assailants, who remain unidentified and at large.  She was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and booked into Bexar County Jail in lieu of $50,ooo bail.

A dispute at Edison high school escalated Wednesday to a shooting in front of a home a few hours later, the sapd report.  A 21 year old man was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound on his hand after the incident in the 1000 block of Santa Monica Street.  Sgt james Warner said a beige sedan pulled up to a home in the area around 5:30pm and one of three people inside shot at the man. Authorities believe the shooting was in retaliation to a fight that started at school but were unsure whether it was gang related.

Police have arrested a male suspect and recovered a weapon a couple of hours later in the 1400 block of Mardell Street about a mile north of the scene.

San Antonio Police on Sunday night arrested a man suspected of shooting a woman in front of her two children and stealing her car at Ingrm Park Mall.  Jacob Lozzno, is being held  in Bexar County Jail on $100,000 bail.  He faces charges of aggravated robbery, endangering a child and evading arrest in a vehicle.

A man had approached Annamaria isaac as she put her two children into her car at the mall.  he demanded the car and fired one shot, striking Isaac in the arm before speeding off.  Lozano was arrested near North Star Mall.

A juror in the trial of a former juvenile prison principal acquitted of sexually abusing inmates said that a former police officer on the jury helped sway many who initially believed the ex administrator was guilty.  Nancy gray said the officer did a lot of talking about reasonable doubt to the eight who believed John Paul Hernandez was guilty when deliberations started.

A lot of people changed their minds because he kept saying pressing the point that he had to be guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, said gray who was the last to agree to the not guilty verdicts.  I was the holdout, all the way through and it was hard.

Hernandez was accused of sexually abusing five inmates at the west Texas State School in Pyote in 2004 and 2005.  He was found not guilty on 14 counts in 11 indictments including sexual assault and had faced up to 20 years in prison.

Sec. 49.07.  INTOXICATION ASSAULT.  (a)  A person commits an offense if the person, by accident or mistake:

(1)  while operating an aircraft, watercraft, or amusement ride while intoxicated, or while operating a motor vehicle in a public place while intoxicated, by reason of that intoxication causes serious bodily injury to another;  or

(2)  as a result of assembling a mobile amusement ride while intoxicated causes serious bodily injury to another.

(b)  In this section, “serious bodily injury” means injury that creates a substantial risk of death or that causes serious permanent disfigurement or protracted loss or impairment of the function of any bodily member or organ.

(c)  Except as provided by Section 49.09, an offense under this section is a felony of the third degree.

Authorities have arrested a man wanted for years in connection with the kidnapping on U.S. soil of an Eagle Pass man who  was taken in Mexico, then exchanged for his father.

Raymundo Fuentes Dimas III, also known as Chikilin, appeared in federal court in San Antonio on Wednesday on an indictment charging him and others with cocaine trafficking and the 2007 kidnapping of Leroy Euresti.

Fuentes is one of 11 people indicted in the case and all are in custody except the two main suspects, Raul Parra Soberanis and Jose Luis Pollo Rodriguez.  The two are believed to be in Mexico and all those in custody except Fuentes have been sentenced to prison terms of up to 42 months.

Sec. 22.09.  TAMPERING WITH CONSUMER PRODUCT.  (a)  In this section:

(1)  “Consumer Product” means any product offered for sale to or for consumption by the public and includes “food” and “drugs” as those terms are defined in Section 431.002, Health and Safety Code.

(2)  “Tamper” means to alter or add a foreign substance to a consumer product to make it probable that the consumer product will cause serious bodily injury.

(b)  A person commits an offense if he knowingly or intentionally tampers with a consumer product knowing that the consumer product will be offered for sale to the public or as a gift to another.

(c)  A person commits an offense if he knowingly or intentionally threatens to tamper with a consumer product with the intent to cause fear, to affect the sale of the consumer product, or to cause bodily injury to any person.

(d)  An offense under Subsection (b) is a felony of the second degree unless a person suffers serious bodily injury, in which event it is a felony of the first degree.  An offense under Subsection (c) is a felony of the third degree.
